SENSATIONAIL GEL POLISH REVIEW

Two posts in one week! Aren't you lucky. If I'm completely honest, I've missed having this time to sit down and write blog posts, it's kinda therapeutic to me. As I'm completely obsessed with all things nail related, I received the SensatioNail starter kit as a gift for my birthday this month. And WHAT a gift it was. The kit comes complete with a gel cleanser, gel primer, gel base/top coat, a gel nail polish and the LED lamp. They do the set in four different colours that I'm aware of; pink chiffon, scarlet red, french manicure and raspberry. I have the Scarlet Red polish with mine as I absolutely love a classic red but I also purchased two more colours (gold glitter and guilty pleasure) soon after I tried the set out as I loved it so much.

The set comes with a little leaflet which has instructions on how to use the kit and the stages/times when to use what and is super easy to follow. I read some reviews online and most said that it was best to cure the gel for double the guide time, so for example, if the instructions say cure for 30 seconds, I cured for 60 seconds. This just ensures the gel is cured properly and won't smudge. Tip: Don't touch the gel after you have cured it! I made the massive mistake of thinking that it would be instantly dry. Wrong! I would advise that you don't try and touch your nails until you are completely finished and have applied the cleanser to remove the moisture layer!

I am super happy with this product overall and would completely recommend to anyone who loves to have amazing nails but finds doing them a chore! The polish stays on perfectly without chipping for around two weeks and has an amazing glossy coat!

THE WHITE COMPANY'S WILD MINT CANDLE

My birthday was this month and as a complete candle fanatic, what else would I possibly spend my birthday money on! I had spied the Wild Mint candle in Zoe Sugg's 'Product Empties' video and I knew I had to try it. I basically ran into The White Company (no change there), and there it was, calling my name. I actually don't have any candles from The White Company so was super excited to try one but I always like to smell them first before purchasing so I went in-store. OH MY GOODNESS! I can honestly say I've never smelt anything so good in my entire life (the holder it's in is absolutely beautiful and matches my room so that's a plus). If you love mojitos, you need this candle in your life. It smells so refreshing and uplifting. I think that you have to smell a candle yourself to know if you love it or not. I was contemplating purchasing the room spray also but I thought I better try the candle out first to test the waters. I've burned it around 7 times now and it still smells as amazing as when I first purchased it. I will most definitely be purchasing the room spray and be checking out the rest of the Wild Mint collection! Let me know if you have any candles that you love

LAURA MERCIER VERBENA COLLECTION

If you've been following me on twitter for a while, you'll know that prior to Christmas, I developed an unhealthy obsession with the Laura Mercier verbena collection. I'm pretty sure it featured in one of my wishlists also. I just can't help it, who can blame me. If you love anything super fresh and uplifting then you have to try this! Oh my goodness, I can only describe it as heaven in a box. I went on and on and on and on about this before Christmas and I figured since I had went on about it so much, I couldn't buy it myself as my mum refused to let me near the Laura Mercier counter (I had my suspicions she had bought it as a Christmas gift), and I was right! So you can imagine my excitement on Christmas morning.

The box contains four items; a gel body scrub, a gel body moisture, an eau de toilette and a pulse point balm.

gel body scrub
This one's most definitely my favourite.  I think it's due to having the strongest scent of all the products within the verbena range. When you open the gel body scrub it's so strong and refreshing I could just sit there and smell it for hours. I use it in the bath to gently exfoliate. You have to be gentle with this as I've found that this is quite rough on your skin, a lot rougher than any other body scrub I've tried. It most definitely does the job alongside smelling amazing.

gel body moisture
After using the gel body scrub, I get out of the bath, get dried and then apply this all over my body focusing on elbows and knees as they're my driest areas. I absolutely love the gel body moisture as hours later you're still smelling great and it leaves your skin super smooth.

eau de toilette
The main reason I first fell in love with this range. I was at the Laura Mercier counter and sprayed this on a sample card, days later my bag still smelled amazing and I just knew I had to have it. It's super fresh and uplifting and keeps you smelling amazing hours later. What more could you want!?

pulse point balm
When I first saw this, I got really exited about it as I thought I could take it everywhere and smell amazing all day. If I'm completely honest, I was pretty dissapointed. It's just not as strong as I had hoped for and once applied, I can't smell it for any longer then 5/10 minutes. I suppose it's handy to keep in your for a little touch up but I wouldn't go crazy about it.

What are your thought on Laura Mercier's Verbena Collection?
